Cannot create Customer Accounts....

I can log in as Admin, I can add products and change settings, etc. I can create a cart and add products to it but no matter what I do I cannot seem to create a Customer Account.

It doesn't error, just cycles through to the log in page again or the create an account page. I've looked through the posts and I've seen this come up but on a random basis. Mine is consistent from platform (Mac and PC) as well as browser (Safari, Firefox, and IE). It just doesn't work.

I've tried forcing Cookies thinking that it was a session issue, I've tried the setting Recreate Session to False but that didn't do anything.

I've tried totally deleting zen cart and re-installing it and it still doesn't work....

Any ideas? I'm new to Zen Cart but getting frustrated with it and would appreciate any help someone can offer....

Have you tried turning off the ENABLE_SSL setting in your /includes/configure.php file?
That'll bypass your server's SSL, and let Zen Cart function normally.

Perhaps something's amuck with how your server's SSL is configured and interacting with your server's PHP configuration?

Well, I just tried that with no success. No change at all really other than it was no longer secure...

I tried to create an account,and it works (or doesn't work) as you said. (Probably want to turn off that force cookie thing).

I did find a couple of threads with the same problem. One had to do with having installed the SEO URL mod - do you have that installed? In the other, DrByte suggested that something had been changed on the host's server, which seemed to be the case.

Edit: Actually, if you've completely reinstalled Zencart, and have the same problem, that would seem like a server thing. Have you asked your host?

Thanks. I will try contacting my host and seeing if they can be of help. I didn't see the issue with the SEO URL mod.

I have not been able to create any new customer accounts after making some changes to the cart (version 1.3.7).

After entering all the customer data and submit, there is a red bar at the top of the page with the words ENTRY_SOURCE_ERROR.

I have tried undoing the changes that I made, but nothing I have done has helped.

Side note, I could not figure how to post this as a new post, so I am replying to this thread. Thanks for your help!

I just solved the problem that I've been working on for hours. Somehow the "Require referral" entry had been marked true. I changed it to false and it solved the problem. Iyiyi!
