link problem How about a flash menu in the header?

I haven't seen this anywere before but, instead of a simple image header or
standard image I want to create a simple navigation in flash with about 8 likns to navigate through my entire site.

I have tried every single powssibility I could find on this forum about how to implant flash in my #HeaderWrapper. namely the TLP_HEADER file entry, the stand alone .js file that calles the embed object. an I frame entry in tlp_header and so on so on. I can not get it to work. All I got at the peak of my game was a bar on the top of the right size that (righgt click) said flash movie niet loaded.. atleast that was somewhat flash like I check all the url's I used as well btw, once twice and three times they were all good and still it just doenst work..

    what am I doing wrong?

    please, please..
    end my suffering

Unless you really need to get fancy, you are best served to let the Flash do the work as stated on http://www.w3schools.com/flash/flash_inhtml.asp

Remember that search engines might not be able to follow links in flash. Google can do some but it might be better to at least make sure that the links are also elsewhere.

    hey,

thanks for the reaction. ofcourse I will make sure my links are included in the script that calles the flash as meta tags so that shouldn't be a problem.

this might be a better subject for a new thread but how about putting flash on a product info page? is it even possible?

    thanks!

Anywhere you can put some html, you can use that method.

The one thing to keep in mind is that some of the editors embedded in and available for Zencart will mess with the code when saving it to the database.

I've uploaded a mod that demonstrates how to use swfObject 2.0 for inserting flash objects into zen cart. Also one part shows how to dynamically link mp3's using php to a flash player.
