How to get going?

Hi

This is my first post here.

I have Zen Cart installed via Fantastico and it all works - sort of.

I have entered some products and prices etc. but when I click on them it doesn't ask me to register or anything. Also when I have clicked on an item it doesn't show the add to cart button and it just says contact us instead of taking me to payment process. I am very confused, I have trawled through the FAQ's and can't really see where to start.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

It sounds as though your cart has been switched to be a showcase. You can change this by logging into your admin area and selecting configuration > my store.

Just over halfway down is an option called "store status", that you might find helpful to change.
