Default Making CVV A Required Field

    Hi,
I'm using the Offline Credit Card module. I have it set up to ask for the CVV number during checkout. Is there a way to make this field a required field? I currently have the minimum value for the CVV set to 3, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've tested using 1 number and just leaving the field blank and either way, it accepts the field and moves to the next window to confirm the payment.

Is there a way to change this and force the CVV to be a required field?

    Thanks.

As I understand it, the Offline Credit Card module just sends you the CC number in two pieces. It doesn't require CVV numbers. You'll get that number tf the customer chooses to supply it, but it isn't required.

My advice would be to spring for a proper mechant account - much more secure.

    admin panel/ modules/ payment/ credit card

    Click edit,
    1. Collect & store the CVV number
    2. set this to true
    3. This forces a customer to fill in the CVV numbers

    Stevesh,
My business does drop shipping, so I need to collect the CC info to forward to the distributor where they do the billing. So, I can't really get a proper merchant account. I wish I could, but it just wouldn't work for my setup.

Haredo, I do have the settings correct in the CC module, but it doesn't require the user to enter the CVV number. It allows them to leave it blank and continue to the next page. I also have the Minimum Vaules for CVV set to 3, but no help there either.

Most of my shoppers enter the CVV in the checkout process, but every once in a while, someone misses it or, probably, ignores it... Then I have to follow up with emails and phone calls. I'd rather the system just tell them "YOU FORGOT THE CVV - GO BACK AND ENTER IT".

Thanks Stevesh and Haredo for your help.
Anyone else with any ideas??? I'm all ears!!!

Must be a mod you have installed.. Dang the luck.
I will guess Super Orders. Check out their thread and search for CVV, to see if anyone has had this issue. Or wait for a Zen Master to read the thread for their answer

Yeah, there is nothing in the Super Orders 2.0 thread that I can find. The only file I can find (that I have installed) that seems to use the CVV is the CC.php in the payment module. I can't find any other mod that would have altered it...
