Default Populating the Shop with products

Can I input items direct from a spread sheet or does every item have to be put in individually? I have 20,000 books to sell!

    Thanks

The only practical way to do this is to use EASY-POPULATE by Langer.

    There are 2 versions:-

    1. The standard (FREE) version that has sufficient functionality to upload general product data.

    2. The advanced (commercial) version that has added features, such as attribute upload capacity, meta tags, and a few more.

If this is a NEW install, you could probably get by with the standard (free) version, and the module is available in the downloads section.

There are plenty of posts about easypopulate on the forum - but just make sure you follow the module installation instructions.

20,000 products is a relatively large number - EasyPopulate will need to handle them in batches.

    Zencart will work for you...

I just installed Easypopulate on a fresh ZC 1.3.8a install. It took 2 minutes, and I populated my store with 500 products in under a minute.

i've been using EPA 3.0.3 with great success until i used it to upload my meta tags. i mean the meta tags changed, but so did my product layout page. my product name (on the product description pages and the background look different), they are no longer centered and take 2 lines now.

i have made changes to my tpl_product_info file as well as stylesheet, and everything was just fine until i uploaded the metatags.

    anyone had this issue before?
any ideas on how to fix it?

website here, if you like to take a look

    http://got-jdm.com/JDM

i only uploaded the metatags for all my clutch kits, and the layout of those pages changes, and all other pages remained normal.

then i added meta tags to one of my engine listings, and all of the products layouts is broken now

you may use your spreadsheet file, however you will have to copy/paste your books info into the easy populate file. EP file is setup in a very specific format, just make sure you keep the heading of EP file intact, or else it won't upload.

i highly recommend 3.0.3 EPA, worth way more then $65
