Need more specific instructions for Google Sitemap

Here's the first instruction/question:
"1. Unzip and upload all files to your store directory;"

By "store directory", are we talking site root? Admin file? Includes?
Specifically where?

This is the error message I get when I attempt to FTP the GoogleSitemapAdmin folder to my hosting server:

/GoogleSitemapAdmin - error occurred - Unable to create remote folder /GoogleSitemapAdmin . Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.

Files with errors: 1

How do I work through this?
