Banner Views and Clicks - tenfold (10X) increase overnight

Maybe I shouldn't complain - but the mystery remains...

I'm seeing a tenfold increase in Banner Ad views and clicks - from the average.

Is there a robot/spider/worm or other THREAT that would get recorded as a view and a click? Any other explanations?

Partially resolved...sort of...

Been getting spammed by Chinese (red capitalists) - not sure if automated software or a room full of people pounding away at keyboards but they are asking questions about products but including a bunch of crap about different products and include Chinese characters. Makes a mess of the inbox. Been denying IP addresses as they occur but China is a big place.
