Default two zen carts...want same database

I have the current version of ZenCart as a retail shopping cart. I just installed a separate Zen Cart for wholesale. I created a new database for the wholesale cart. I tried to copy the zencart database to the new wholesale database. However, while the categories and sideboxes appear to be the same on both (yay for me) the category items and pics data are all missing.

When I try to copy my retail zen cart database to my new wholesale database, it will not allow me to get past the address book stuff as it appears to be duplicated. And it times me out after only about 1/2 of the files have been copied.

How do i get my items/pics into the new database? help!!

Are you using phpmyadmin for this?
How large is your DB and what are the file size limits in import?

How are you trying to copy the database?
If I were doing this, I would export from the one and import to the other.
