Attribute by percentage

I have a product with a base price of 10.00 its available painted or unpainted at a 20% discount. How do I set the attribute controller to discount based on the percentage of the base price.

Set the factor to 0.8 and the offset to -1

I must be doing something wrong because it shows + 18.00 in the attribute

factor multiplies the base price entered for the product netting a value

might try 0.2 as I recall that this might be an inverse relationship???

ok now it adds the 2.00 instead of subtracting it even with -1

What is the price entered in the product entry screen for this item?
