Installing Easy Populate (Standard)

I am trying to find some step by step instuctions that will tell me how to install Easy Populate (Standard). I read the docs but the docs is very vage.

Can someone please help me?

There is no documentation for Easy Popluate at this time, I will work on them as time permits.

I'm currently trying to compile a list of frequently asked questions.


[root@web import]# more How\ To\ Install.txt
Upload all files in their respective directories,
set permissions on temp to 777

The sample file will show you how add/delete your products using excel,
follow the setting that are there and you shouldn't have any problems.

Uploded your products (Tab Delimited) Excel file to Store Root/temp
Open your Zen-Cart Admin
Go to Tools and click on Easy Populate
Import your products file and upload your images into the directory
that you used in your products file and you should be done.

REMEMBER TO BACK UP EVERYTHING FIRST

Afraid that that is all there is as this is not by Zen Cart but 3rd party...

I do not see any support in zend cart that allows you to import items. WHen you have over 3,600 products it makes is impossible to add them and adding each item one at a time will not work. So I ned some find something that will will allow me to import the items from a text file.

Afraid that that is all there is as this is not by Zen Cart but 3rd party...

I did not state that this was part of Zen Cart...I actually stated that easypopulate is NOT part of Zen Cart but 3rd party and posted a link to the 3rd party support thread
