email extras?

can someone just pinpoint something for me

i have a template with a modified email extras, only this doesnt show up when i send emails

so i altered the one in the admin/languages and this one showed up the changes

in the languages i created my template folder to have an overide for email extras only it dont work, can you not have overides in the admin area?

No, overrides aren't available in Admin (yet).

you would happen to know why there is an email_extras.php in the language folder (languages/english/) and no matter what i do there it doesnt alter the items i change within this file?

I noticed the previous thread where you asked about this.

There is no override system for Admin, but you can modify core admin files without causing any problem. The only thing is, that when you update to a new version, that file will be overwritten, and you'll have to make the changes again.

So if your changes worked, go ahead.

I don't know why the email_extras file is in english if changing it doesn't do anything.

yeah i altered the core ones in the admin, i prefer to use overide as like you say when i comes to upgrading i know what files that need putting back/modifying.

Ive resorted to some notes on paper to what files ive altered in the admin.
