I'm boggling over this. (And also reposting this because I don't know why it isn't showing up on the site after half an hour.)
We integrated PayPal into our new shopping cart last night: http://www.stickitpics.com/ and today I was trying to test it out and make sure everything went smoothly.
As a test, I uploaded one picture and set the price at $0.01. I went through the shopping cart, put in my information and proceeded to choose the pay with PayPal option. It redirected me, as the customer, to PayPal where it said my total was $5.01. This surprised me because the end total on my cart's checkout was $0.01. When I choose to use check/money order it gives me the appropriate total. So, it appears going to PayPal tacks on this fee that I can't find an answer to. (I talked to two customer service people today who suggested it was an issue in ZenCart and also emailed them.. haven't heard back yet.)
So, wondering if it's a random five dollar charge, I put my sample item up as $10.00. When I went through the same checkout process, it tacked on 78 cents in tax, just like it should, and gave me that as the grand total (shipping option was Walk In, so it costs nothing). When sent to PayPal now it's asking $17.78 from my customer.
Any thoughts? :-/ I'm pulling my hair out here. I feel like I've exhausted the PayPal options and have clicked through everything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since we have a pressing deadline for this website setup.
Thanks so much.
