    Default Authorize.Net Production Mode Error

    Hey,

Worked in Test Mode. When switched to production i get this message

"The configuration with processor is invalid. Call Merchant Service Provider. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct the information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

I have included my log file. I have tried calling authorize.net but just get put on hold. Is there a way to solve this issue without having to talk to Authorize.Net??

Go to your authorize.net account and regenerate your Transaction Key, and put the new key in your Zen Cart authnet module.
Sometimes the Transaction Key from "test mode" doesn't work in "production" mode.

Thanks for the advice, but I tried that, and same error.

Then it would seem that they've made an error in configuring your account to talk to your bank.

Let's look at their own error message text ... "Call Merchant Service Provider".

It would seem to me that your "Merchant Service Provider" is authorize.net. I suggest you challenge them back.

Zen Cart has *nothing* to do with the configuration of your CC processor. Sorry ... I know they're passing the buck ... and I'm sending you back to them.

After getting the bank on the phone, we sat on hold together for over an hour waiting on Authorize.Net.

The issue was the Authorize.Net sent the bank the wrong merchant id #. To fix the issue Authorize.Net had to give the bank the right numbers.....

I do not enjoy Authorize.Net's cutomer service.

thanks Dr. Byte for your time on this issue.

I received that same 'The configuration with processor is invalid. Call Merchant Service Provider.' error message and I did a live chat with authorize .net and they copy/pasted some boilerplate text which says that the MSP is the bank which handles credit card transactions, not Authorize.net.

Uh, what's the real story here and how should I proceed?

OK it's figured out. Two of the values from the parameter sheet were entered incorrectly by Authorize.net
