cart error Domain Name Mismatch (https:// vs https://www

    Hi guys,

I have looked all over this forum and have done many searches for my problem, but haven't found a specific solution, just similar problems.

This is the warning I am getting when I go to our website's shopping cart and click "log yourself in":
    Security Error: Domain Name Mismatch
You have attempted to establish a connection with "gridworks.net" . However, the security certificate presented belongs to, "www.gridworks.net". It is possible, though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept your communication with this website.

If you suspect the certificate below does not belong to "gridworks.net", please cancel and let the administrator of the website know.
My SSL is under GoDaddy and I have spoken to them and tech support has told me that in order to avoid resetting the SSL cert to not have the "www" that I should change where the "log yourself in" link goes to from https://gridworks.net/shop/index.php?main_page=login
    to https://www.gridworks.net/shop/index.php? etc.......

My trouble is, and I apologize if i sound like such a newbie, but what file do I go into to change where that link directs to.

I've already gone into shop/includes/configuration.php and added the "www" same as in shop/admin/includes/configuration.php . Please help, thank you.

includes/configure.php is the only place you need to make the change. Are you sure you uploaded the file after changing the setting?

NOTE: if your configure.php has been set to 444 due to your server ... this does need to either be set to 644 or renamed or deleted before you can upload your new file with changes ...

Wow, I had completely forgotten about permissions.....I had kept changing it but obviously it wasn't sticking since I never changed the permissions to 644 from 444....I did that, and the warning hasn't came on again. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!
