Yes. I do aware that the shipping is taxable. Just the problem is now seem like the whole calculation is in correct if you have discount coupon. Which is totally not right.

It's actually calculating it properly. According to the state comptroller's office, sales tax should be rounded UP.
34.99 - 7.00 = 27.99 X 0.0825 = $2.31
5.05 X 0.0825 = $0.42
$2.31 + .42 = 2.73
Alternatively,
27.99 + 5.05 = 33.04 X 0.0825 = $2.7258 or, if you round as you should, $2.73
Either way it's the same and your cart is calculating it correctly.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. As i mention, now the sales tax seem calculated correct if i use the new method. But the total amount calculation is wrong. But if i use the first method, the sales tax calculation is wrong. To keep it simple is, until today i haven found a good way for it to calc correctly if i got discount coupon going on.
Please help.
regards,
TY
It seems to be charging tax on the coupon. How do you have the discount set up? Is it a gift card or something?
RC.
I am using discount coupon.
My version, all things taxable goods at 22 % VAT, result:
rebate a tad too high
VAT too small
Sub-Total: 24.00 €
Zone Rates (Shipping to FI (0.25kg(s))): 8.43 €
Discount Coupon: 10 % : -2.41 € (should be -2.40)
VAT/moms/ALV 22 %: 5.26 € (should be 5.41)
Total: 30.02 €
I've tested with different settings and moved the order total rows, and this is the best I've come up with.
Should I stop giving discount coupons, gift vouchers and group pricing?
According to my accountant, I must add VAT on top of the postage, no matter if it's included in the postal charges or not.
