    Default How do I, 1x item $44.90 but if 2x items 47.40

If items have the same cost but only variable would be the postage, how do I do that?

$39.95 per dvd + postage which will be $4.95 for the first dvd and then another $2.50 for each extra dvd ordered at the same time.

    EG.
    1 x item A $39.95 + $4.95 postage. ($total $44.90)
    2 x Item A $44.90 + $2.50 (postage ) ($total $47.40)
    3 x Item A $47.40 + $2.50 (postage ) ($total $49.90)

Is there a way that it can be calculated rather then creating a drop down with quantities.

    1x ($44.90)
    2x ($47.40)
    3x ($49.90)

If I understand your question correctly, and you are only selling DVD's (or items that cost the same as the example you gave)...

You can use the "Per Item" shipping module, and set up Shipping at $2.50 per item, and a Handling Charge of $2.45, what that will do is if they only buy one item it will charge then $4.95... but should they order more then 1, it adds another $2.50 for each extra item they are purchasing.

That is the simplest solution I am aware of... hope it helps.

    Hi all

I also need to do the exact same thing, price for one item, and a lower price for each additonal item, however I need it to differenciate between GB, USand CA and the rest of the world. So I need it to work with zones.

I am currently usng the zone rates as a per item price, but it does not appear to work..

    For example

For GB I have anything up to £9999.00 will cost 0.20 with a handling fee of £1.20, therefor if a person adds 5 items to the cart the shipping cost should be £1.20 + 5 x 0.20p but its not adding each item, instead I have a price of £1.40

    Any ideas
My only addon is Gallery addon and can be seen here breezy

What you want to do is use Item Rate item and clone that for the different zones ...

    Do a search on:
    clone item
    clone flat

as I have a zillion posts for how to go through and do this that can help you out ...
