Initial Zone Setup for UK

I am new to the Zen Cart, and am based in the UK.

The basic problem which I do not seem to be able to get around is during the basic setup and subsequently in the mystore option I can not alter the zone setting to anything for Europe, American, Candadian states are listed and Airforce bases.

In the mystore option No zones are listed at all.

What am I missing? or can someone tell me how to set this basic piece of information.

Firstly, check in Admin-Config-My Store that your store is not in Florida or Alabama. They are favourite starting destinations, and tend to cramp your options a bit.

Secondly, download the Big Royal mail modules from the downloads are. That has some quite good documentation on the Uk, zones and things, and how to create them.

Finally, www.mutualadvantage.co.uk used to have a complete free UK template setup for Zen Cart that may still be available.

I have template set up how I like it and now I am starting on setting up the shipping options.

I checked my store zone and it is in 'arizona' but there is no way to edit it. It just shows an empty drop down box.
Do I need to do something to this setting before i go any further? Thanks

Your Store Zone list will be empty if the Store Country has no zones associated with it.

So, either add the additional zones in Admin->Locations/Taxes->Zones, or choose a different Store Country.

Do you know if this works with 1.38? If not is there another easy alternative?
