    Default MySQL backup with SQLyog

I've seen a couple of references here to using SQLyog as an alternative management tool for mySQL; I've been using it myself, since my hosting company DOESN'T provide CPanel (don't ask, long story) and recommended it. It seems to work fine, makes me local (on my PC) database dumps; but I tried to map the recommended phpMyAdmin settings to the SQLyog GUI and it just doesn't map; they don't call stuff the same, SQLyog has settings phpMyAdmin doesn't list, etc.

Is there anything I need to change from the SQLyog defaults in order to make up working database backups for my site?

    Many thanks for suggestions,

Default Re: MySQL backup with SQLyog

I love SQLyog but don't use it for backups as the Backup MySQL mod is so much more convenient.
