Have a Drink Small List of Little Nagging Issues - Please Help a Noob!

    Hello...

Oh no...run for the hills...fast...another newbie here who is a bit flustered (in a nice kind of way) and in need of probably some extremely simple corrections on one or more pages to make my little store look decent.

Please open this site in IE :
    http://itzthepitz.com/store/index.ph...age=conditions

I'm sure once you look at it you will immediately see what my questions are but what the heck I will spell them out. :--)

    1. How in the heck do I get rid of the red X on the top left side of the logo? I've tried some of the tips here and that goofy thing is still showing up. It only shows up in IE.

    2. I changed the "Conditions" page to "About ItzThePitz" and am uncertain how to change the Navbar-Title and Heading_Title. Naturally this is non-browser specific.

    3. Notice that the links in the Information sidebox are not in order and the links are white. Any ideas for making it look similar to how the page rendered in Firefox?

    4. Lastly...how does one remove the separator (gray bar) at the bottom of "Our Products"?

I wish to express my gratitude, not just the community but to the developers of Zen Cart. It's awesome and I am quite confident that with the knowledge base here I will be able to work out the little bugs I run across.

    Thanks again!
    -Kathy

    We will go slow...

First of all have you read about override system in tutorials/Faqs

    includes/ template/ your_template/ css/ stylesheet.css

Find the following declaration in this .css
    1. #logo
    2. if not found
    3. just add it to the sheet
    4. #logo {display:none;}

    Thanks so much Haredo.

I have read and continue to read through the tutorial FAQs as they have helped with some customizations thus far. These are the ones I've hit the wall on, i.e. the things I've tried have failed.

I don't see a #logo on the stylesheet.css and will add it. Am I to assume I can add it anywhere on the stylesheet?

Great you have done your home work on the overrides, and using a custom template also.

Yes, just add it on the sheet

The dreaded red X is history.

Still kind of stuck on the other things though and am sure I will hammer those out as I read further.

Now that 1 is fixed... Yea..

    Question 2

    includes/ languages/ english/ conditions.php
    1. Copy this file to your_own_template
    2. Now lets edit this baby
    3. Just remember to leave the single quotes on either side

    Okay then...thanks again...

Made the change to conditions.php (actually I did that earlier today with the same results as now), put it back into /includes/languages/english as I have not created any CUSTOM folders. :--O

    Should conditions.php go somewhere else?

    Had to take a break...

#2 Fixed. I placed the conditions.php into the incorrect folder after the previous post.

I think it's time for sleep as I'm doing way too many stupid things.

Couldn't sleep...figured out what the problem was the Information sidebox.

Needed to go includes/modules/sideboxes and clean up information.php by removing previously disabled links like "Gift Certificate", "Site Map", "Coupons", etc.

Thanks again for everything Haredo. You are a great source of encouragement. Now...off to sleep in late!

What do you mean not in order??? Alphebically, yes you can change the order of these in includes/ languages/ your_template/ english.php, Line 132, just move them around. The links are royal blue in firefox to me.. What color you like/?
