Default Lost Login from top bar

I cannot get the login to show on the top bar, I replaced the tpl_header.php, with a copy from a backup, Checked Layoutbox Controller, but don't know if im doing the right thing trying to get the login to show as Layout box. Can anyone please explain what I need to check to ensure this login will show?

Did you install a frest copy of tpl_header.php.
Are you using the override file system??
    includes/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php

I have replaced this file....includes/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php.. with a fresh one from a new install I have in another tester directory.
The lost login problem began before this though, I tired replacing this php file to fix, but nothing fixed.

Are you using the override file system?? I really dont know what this is?

You are using the classic template so the file that needs to be replaced is includes/templates/classic/common/tpl_header.php. Use the file from a fresh download versus something you have "backed up" or "stored".

THEN.... You need to investigate the override system in both the downloads and tutorials/FAQ links at the top of the page. If you continue to use the classic template, you will lose all changes on the next upgrade.

Since you are using the Classic template:
    The file is uploaded here:

    includes/ templates/ classic/ template_default/ common/ tpl_header.php
    1. I am just double checking
    2. The override System
    1. Using the override system means you don't have to worry about over-writing your custom files when

an upgrade comes along, because they are all in custom directories you will create below.
    2. Click on the link below, notice the tutorial/faqs on the top right hand side
    3. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/
    4. Notice the blue header bar, click Index
    5. Scroll down to override system, click
    6. click on the override system really simplified,

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=143
    7. you will need to use a ftp program and create these folders
    8. now read this article
    9. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=142
    10. after you finish that little step, read the article below
    11. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=230
    12. So, now when you want to edit a .php file, first upload the file to your custom folder and then edit the puppy..

    /includes/templates/classic/ has no common directory?

    There is only /includes/templates/template_default/common/ tpl_header.php

Both my original and test version have the same directories.

Can you show me the correct code that I need to add to the tpl_header.php ?

This seems like a simple problem to put the login box next to home onto the top of screen. The code shows it should be there, so there must be somewhere else I have to go to activate it??
