I can't see the Add to Cart button

This is a VERY steep learning curve. I've installed the cart and products, got the pages showing the bits I want.

I added all the products, with stock and pricing. When I go to the store home and navigate to a product, I can see the following bits:

Breadcrumbs
Category Title
Product x/x (I don't want this, I assume I edit the template later)
Previous/Category/Next (also don't want this)
Image (also don't want this)
Product Name
Product Price
Product Description
Product Reference (don't need this)
Product Stock (don't need this)
Write a review image/link (don't need this)
Tell a Friend image/link (don't need this)

The customer can only order one of any product (they are adverts) and the supply is unlimited (I put stock of 1000 in for now!)

I am not logged in as a customer, just a guest. Why can't I see an Add to Cart button?

These are the settings I have:

Display Product Price/Add to Cart is set to 3
Display Product Add to Cart Button is set to 1

Or does the customer need to log in first?

What value do you have for Admin > Configuration > My Store > Store Status?

Check settings you must have re-set from default in the
admin > config > customer settings > Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
admin > config > customer settings > Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
admin > config > my store > Store Status

Admin > Configuration > My Store > Store Status Set to 0

Admin > Configuration> Customer Details > Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending Set to 0

The other already answered to kuroi above.

I think these are all default. NOTE: there are NO customers registered as of yet.

Do any of these cause the problem? Or the lack of customers? Looking at what each of these mean, they seem right.

You have either got some messed up files(not the most likely) or have set some other default setting as a standard default install does have the add to cart
Hope you kept a log of settings you changed

Good grief no, I didn't keep all the changes! LOL

I can see you as a customer BTW! So at least that worked.

I haven't edited the files themselves, so it has to be something I did from the Admin Control Panel.

However, for the life of me, I can't see what. From the very first, the Add to cart hasn't been there.
