Hi
I had this same error a couple of weeks ago and I have searched a lot through the forum to discover that it is a problem others also get.
I am currently with GoDaddy and have discovered that they are frowned upon as a poor host. My problem did rectify itself (not sure how or why??) within a few hours, but since that time I have had DREADFUL problems as far as loading the site ... it keeps timing out! This is shocking for business, so I do trust you will not encounter the same situation.

I am in the process of now trying to change hosts .... this has created another set of issues, unfortunatelyI am going to ask a new question to hopefully discover how to sort out this follow-on problem.
if it worked then it didnt and you made no changes,
contact your host, see if they are having issues with mysql
I did contact the host (GoDaddy) at the time and they claimed they were unable to replicate the problem .. obviously because it rectified prior to them looking.
I have written my current problems associated with this at this thread ...

Thanks :)
Could someone help me with my connect issue
I have contacted my host and they are yet to get back to me
Imperial,
I am unsure what you would like anyone here to do,
if you cant connect to your database then that is an issue at the host level and no one here can do much about it
