Product cost showing zero

I am trying to set up my zen cart and have hit a hitch as my product cost is showing zero although I have put in the amount on catalog/product set up. Am I doing something wrong?

I have tried doing a search on this problem but not coming up with anything.

It's hard to find. It took me a while to dig it out. I was searching for "zero". I imagine many other people would do the same. I would like to suggest that the Zen Team change..
