How about this: you list all the products that belong to sub categories under the current category. Then the customers can narrow down by choosing the specific subcat they want. If you like it that way I may be able to help

I can tell you that it is possible but what you most likely want is to be told how to do it. This will be more complicated than an admin setting and too involved to get accomplished in a few posts on a forum like this. This is why there is a commercial help wanted section in this forum. You might find that it is not as important as you thought after you receive a couple of quotes for getting it done.

The way you worded your original request would take custom coding to achieve.

The flyout menu will achieve the exact same end results with only one click, so is most likely better for you than what you actually asked for.
