How to customize the buttons to a different language

I'm totally new to Zen Cart, so please bear with my question:

I need to have the buttons on Zen cart changed to a Portuguese -Brazil language.
I try to find the 'original' (like PGP files) for the English buttons, so I could change the text on it, but no success. I'm not sure if they exist and I could not find it, or if they don't exist at all.

If they don't how you from Brazil are doing with the buttons?
Are you creating your own buttons, one by one?

Then on the placement.
I'm assuming that I should put the buttons here:
\includes\templates\template_default\buttons\portuguese

Am I right?
