Default What Precautionary Measures Do You Take When Using Paypal (As a Merchant)

Hi, for those who are experienced with Paypal, could you kindly share with me those precautionary measures that you take to prevent chargeback and fraud when accepting payment via Paypal?

Also, is there a way to display only Shipping Method(s) at "Step 1 of 3 - Delivery Information" during checkout that offers tracking facility when customer choose to pay by Paypal?

    Thanks.

When the PayPal payment module is invoked, your customers are effectively taken OUT of your site, to paypal - and at this point, paypal's OWN systems process the transaction.

PayPal (I imagine) has some pretty sophisticated systems to verify cards - and these are all out of your control.

On YOUR site, the best policy is to have your own SSL that protects data transfer across the WWW, and when it's properly set up, it's about as secure as you could wish to have.

SSL comes in many "strengths" and the "stronger" it is, the more expensive it is. So, decide on the degree of SSL security you feel comfortable with, set it up on your zenshop, and you've done the best you can to protect data...

Thanks for your answer fairestcape, I do have SSL on my site so I guess data security is in place. There are nevertheless other facets which I am rather concern pertaining to chargeback and fraud.

I am considering using the MaxMind Credit Card Fraud Detection service. Has anyone got any experience with it? Is it of any good? The other worry is of course Chargeback. How does one prevent it as best as one could? Using only confirmed address, tracking number, delivery advice? What else is there? The latter 2 ways would certainly run up the cost of business.
