    Default authorize.net fiasco!

I can't get the sim mod installed and working ( fields don't appear on payment page) and I'm getting this error message after i try to install the aim :

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/store/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php on line 86

    I upgraded from 1.37 to 1.38

I know the correct payment modules are there because I have separately gone back and reuploaded them

    Desperate! Help!

oh, I ended up deleting all references from the config table

That's a result of a minor bug in the error detection logic which is trying to tell you about the fact that your server doesn't have CURL installed, and thus you won't be able to use the AIM module.

    yep that's bug all right!
So in order to make the error go away, I had to delete the aim file from modules/payments.

Is that why the sim won't work too?

No, that has nothing to do with SIM.

And the proper fix for AIM is to get your server configured with CURL support. Most good hosts do that by default nowadays.

Well, the "fix" has been posted here on the forum previously.
And, the fix is included in the 1.4.0 code for whenever it gets released.

    So, yes.

I didn't think we had a reputation of not fixing bugs.
