Any ETA on recurring billing for Paypal and ZenCart

I know this has been probably asked 1000 times, but it is probably, at least in the minds of many web developers, one of the most important updates to be added to the package.

WHEN IS RECURRING BILLING FOR PAYPAL GOING TO BE AVAILABLE?

I mean a majority of sites are subscription based, and that just leaves a big hole in an otherwise fantastic OS cart application.

There are not plans for integrating recurring billing at this time.

man that is a shame. Why go so far as to add webpayments pro and not recurring? And yes a majority. Internet phone websites, home security sites are two I can think of off the top of my head.

There is a number of reasons to have a recurring billing system, I was just curious why the developers kind of went halfway in regards to Paypal. Especially when Zen is suppose to be 'Paypal Certified Integration'.

We are a Certified Integration. Recurring Billing is a relatively new program compared to PayPal Express Payments and PayPal Pro and looking at the demand for such code it has not weighed in as a high priority.

I would say that the majority of ecommerce websites *don't* make use of recurring billing. In that sense, I can understand why Zen Cart has little desire to implement it. It's still a shame in a way because it would only make Zen Cart more flexible, and powerful. It's just I think the devs would prefer to spend their time working on more sought-after features.
