Why do my website look like this????

I installed osc.template-help.com/zencart_12541/index.php?main_page=index template, when I was finished it looked totaly differnt from the live demo version, there were boxes, banners everywhere. I removed like 10 boxes and different stuff and now it looks (STILL) totaly different from the live demo --> My site with the new template


What have I been doing wrong??

If anyone have a idea of what might be wrong, please let me know. I'm frustrated after trying a thousand times.

reason being a template monster template anything is possible to go whacky

Most likely a version conflict...

The version of ZC used by Template Monster to create that template is probably older than the version of zencart you installed.

The template looks like it will not work. Stop fretting and use another template. Before you buy templates, make absolutely sure they are compatible with the version of ZC that you are using.

version conflict sounds like a good diagnosis.

A word to the wise, though template monster has some GREAT looking templates, MANY people have found that after having made purchases from there that the templates did not work, and most of the time it is due to version issues or even coding problems which can really make things bad.

Sorry to hear you're having this problem, it really sucks and I hate to see it.
If there is any sort of help you need specifically I'd be glad to help if I can.
I don't know much about your template, but if you start over perhaps and need other issues resolved let me know! :)

One More Thing:
If you are able to design your own graphics I would suggest doing that and customizing the default template. It's very flexible. Also learning how to work with all the files. Sounds like alot I know, but if you enjoy doing this sort of stuff then I would definitely recommend it for the learning experience!

was a bad idea,
upgrading now will be a heck of alot harder,

always folllow the template system,
create your own custom folder,
and only place files that you changed into it.,

that way you know what you need to fuss with on an upgrade.

sorry shouldn't have said DEFAULT, i followed the system and created my own template, the default template is still there. that was incorrect on my part to say that.

Follow the system to create your own custom template. It's very simple to do.

thats what i did then customized from there. haha thanks for noticing Merlin! :) haha
