Attribute image mouseover?

This has probably been asked before but I can't find anything. Does anyone know if you can mouseover an attribute and have a js pop up with another picture?

For example, I have a hair bow website and I would like customers to be able to mouseover a ribbon color attribute and be able to see the actual bow in that ribbon color in a js pop up.
