header doesn't look right in IE7

I've customized a basic template, and in every browser except IE7, it looks right. But in IE7, the browser isn't recognizing the custom header dimensions and the store is overlaying part of my header.

any ideas on how to fix this? why isn't IE7 recognizing the custom header dimensions?
