How can you do a special that does not affect options prices?

As an example, let's say I have a software product that is normally $50. I'm going to make a special that is $5 off.

So fine, it displays $45 - 10% off.

However, I have options in the product for selecting a delivery method, such as:

- Download (free)
- delivered on floppy disk - USA (+$4.00)
- delivered on floppy disk - International (+$8.00)

I don't want any discount applied to the options. But currently they are also being marked down by 10% to $3.60 and $7.20

I just want to subtract $5.00 from the price of the product without affecting the option pricing. Is this possible?

Did you try marking the Attributes as:

Apply Discounts Used
by Product Special/Sale:
No Yes

One other question related to this, that I have not been able to find any information on so far:

Is there anyway to have an option's price listed separately when it is in Cart?

In other words, if the product is $50.00 and one of the options is "Deliver on floppy disk (+$4.00)", then presently it will show like this in the Cart:

Product Name					1	$54.00
Delivery Method: Deliver on floppy disk

...but I would prefer it if it said:

Product Name					1	$50.00
Delivery Method: Deliver on floppy disk			 $4.00

This is not built into the details for the Shopping Cart ...

You can always attempt to customize this further but it can be a bit of a pain on balancing prices etc if you are not careful in the break downs ...
