Hi
I'm just wondering if I can just add the google analytics code above my body tag on the pages I want tracked and not install the google analytics mod?

Yes you can, but why do you want to do so?
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

It is actually very easy, but yeah you sure can add the code just right above the body tag.
