I'm setting up a site as a middle-man, and therefore do not carry any inventory. How can I suppress the use and display of the number of units in stock when customer is looking at an item?

Go to admin then select Catalog/Products drop down.How can I suppress the use and display of the number of units in stock when customer is looking at an item?
Select Product Type
then Product General
then Edit layout
change "Show quantity in Stock" to 0
