O.k., see the page where you have to enter your "Store Information"(Store Name, Store Owner, etc...)?

At the bottom of that page is where you will see:

    Demo Information
    YES NO
Store Demo Would you like to install the Zen Cart™ demonstration categories and products? more info...

Make sure this is set to No.

It looks like you're using some sort of installer (SimpleScripts) to install Zencart. I think it's always better to do the installation manually, especially since the help you're getting here is based on the assumption that that's what you're doing.

Also, when you get to the Zencart installation process, the demo products are not installed by default - you have to check the box if you want them.

Didn't this thread start out as being about removing the sample products?

Yea, I noticed the 3rd party installer, also. But didn't mention it, as to keep down confusion.......that particular setup page should still display.

No selected by default? Yep, once again you are right. I could have swore the demo products was installed by default....but they are NOT. Hmm....and it's not been THAT long since I've installed a new installation.......too used to "flying" through the setup procedure, I guess.

That's right, I used installation from Simple Script. I guess you're absolutely right, manually install gives more control. Thanks for advise.
