Default can you let me know?

    I'm on this page
    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=125

And I think that I followed the instructions - but maybe not. Where the header.php file was, I overwrite it using FTP

However, I don't see any changes to the logo.

The word CUSTOM below... am I supposed to make that folder? or just disregard it in the instructions?

Using an image editor, create your new logo and save it to includes/templates/CUSTOM/images/your_image_name.??? and upload it to your server

Thank in advance for your help.

You are supposed to create your own custom template (even if you plan to use one of the ones that comes with Zen Cart). This prevents your changes from being overwritten by updates/upgrades.

If you see the term CUSTOM or YOUR_TEMPLATE in instructions, it refers to your custom template folders which you can name whatever you like, so the short answer to your question is "yes, you have to create the folder".

The long answer is that isn't the only thing you should do.

This list is a little outdated and some of the files you need to change depend on what you want to achieve, but it'll still give you an idea of what you need to do.

To create a very basic custom template (you can build from there), you need:
    • includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php
    • includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php
    • includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php
    • includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/header.php (to change the logo)
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/logo.gif
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css

Anywhere you see a /classic/ folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. You can copy the necessary files from either the /classic/ folder, the /template_default/ folder or the parent folder.

Edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to give your template identifying information so you'll recognize it in the admin under tools->template selection.
