adding sub categories help please

i have categories with products in them already and i want to add a sub category. while there are products in the main category it will not let me add a sub category, is there a way to change this and add sub categories while not deleting or moving all the products first?

Zencart will not allow you to have products in a category, if that category has sub-categories.

You will first have to MOVE products into another category, so that you can create a new subcat where those products originally were.

There are lots of reasons for this, and I won't go into them here (but trust that they are GOOD, LOGICAL and SENSIBLE reasons).
