Featured Products Issue

I am trying to tag some items as "featured products" however when i go to the featured products config page within the admin tool, none of my products are listed. Has anyone had an issue with this or know why my products are not listed in this area to be tagged?

Try switching to Classic or Default template...
if it works then, problem lies with your template
