opt in / out check box

I have had a look through downloads, configuration and the forum but cannot find what I want so:

Is there anything out there for new users signing up to the store to allow them to opt in / opt out with a check box for me to collect their details and handing it over to relevant 3rd parties. Something similar to the newsletter sign up but would need to have it correct for data protection.

You'll have to change the wording so the customer understands what you're going to do with his info.
