Have made some changes and now my ssl is broken. I know what all the changes are that I made but I'm not sure what might have broken it.

Check your code for where the http ref is entered - the image looks to be switching to https but not this

You should really check your site in FireFox and click the lock to see all of the pending problems with this on secure pages ...
