Create a text file for every order

Hi, I need to create a text file with the order details everytime that an order is created, could you please tell me which file(s) I need to modify to achieve this? Any response is appreciated, I just need some help to get me on the way, I'm not expecting an accurate answer. Thanks for your help.

What will this txt file DO?

It will be sent to our distributor to process the order. I already asked them if they have something else like a web service or something but it seems that this is the only way.
