Error when installing.......

I have installed ZC to my site via filezilla and set permissions as well as renaming configure.php files and I am still getting a blank screen when I type in mysite.com/shop/zc_install and when I type mysite.com/shop I get the Installing Zen-cart page telling me 'You are seeing this page for one or more reasons'
I have double and triple checked all steps and nothing!

I also checked it thru Firebug and it is giving an Error:

Have a look inside your configure.php files.

Do they contain the correct information?

Im not sure what to look for? They are the way they were downloaded from Zen. I never altered any of that information, just renamed them as the directions told me to.

So as others viewing this thread don't get confused, the docs say to rename the dist-configure.php TO configure.php.
It does not tell you to rename the configure.php file. Thus my question.

The "system error" you are finding with Firebug is simply a call in the css to tell the system what color to use if it has to show you an error.

Have you renamed the zc_install directory? That may be why you don't get anything but a blank page.

Have you tried continuing with the setup that happens when you type in yoursite.com/shop? If this is a fresh install, I'd try that first.
