Need A Shipping Answer

I am at a loss as to which type of shipping to set up for this situation. Each one seems to leave something out that I need. Here is my scenario:

I have say 50 products with 3 different shipping costs. Lets say 40 of them are one cost, 5 are another and the last 5 are the 3rd cost. Now I know the best way to do this would be by weight BUT I also want a different shipping rate for International for each one AND I also want to be able to discount shipping for multiple item purchases.

So, how can I accomplish all this?

Based on the limited scope of your description, I still would have to say you are looking for a customized shipping module ...

One thing to think about is the use of the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module and cloning it ...

If you were to set the Product Weight, which is used as the shipping charge with this module as the "shipping cost", and set the products up first where 1 lb is $1.00 ... and use this for your first Zone ...

Then take a cloned copy of this and set the rate to 1.25 vs 1.00 ... to increment that 1 lb to $1.00 to be 1 lb is $1.25 in shipping ...

Then, make another clone or clones and keep incrementing the unit charge, you could balance the shipping charges ...

For cloning shipping modules, do a search on:
clone flat
clone item

as the pattern is more or less the same regardless of shipping module ...

NOTE: if using Per Unit perweightunit you will want to raise the Maximum Weight shipped as that is defaulted to 50 ... and that was set for lbs where you are using this for Shipping Cost and may need it larger depending on what it is you sell etc.
