Rebuild on new host, keep old site live.

I wish to rebuild my Zen Cart - www.coolglobal.com.au - from scratch on a new host and while I am doing this for a week or two, keep the old site live.

I have the new host, with a fantastico zen cart install.

Problem: After installing the new Zen Cart at the new host, I can view the frontend with the temporary address, BUT when I attempt to log in to the Admin the browser redirects to the old site Admin, rather than stay with the temporary address.

What can I do to prevent the redirection and access the new backend?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Did you create a new database over on the new server.

you will need to manually go into your
includes/configure.php and
admin/includes/configure.php

and change the url from the domainname to the temp domain and set ssl to false.


that will take care of it,
this issue has nothing to do with the databaase,

When fantastico installs it automatically creates a database and uses the domainname in the configure files, and at this time the domainname is pointed to the old site.
