Sales Report Question

Hi,

We have a consignment store and have allowed our manufacturers to check their own sales via the sales report.

The sales report is fine but we found a glitch and are wondering if anyone knows why this is happening.

We deleted a product from the manufacturer. The "master" sales report that we pay from shows the sale, but when we run the report for the individual manufacturer that sale no longer shows in the manufacturer report. We tried putting the product back up using all the same information (product number etc.) and it still does not show.

Anyone have any ideas?

The sales report data pulls information from order history data, which would contain the original product record id (from the products table). If you deleted that record, then the report can no longer match up the data because the manufacturer info is currently only stored in the original product record, not in the order record.

If you're trying to "reconstruct" the original product record, you'll need to make sure that the products_id field has the same original value as the record you deleted ... and that has to be done directly in the database, not from the admin area.

In case anyone is curious the Sales Report Module in Admin Tools Downloads works fine with 1.37 also.
