My customers are unable to download there purchase from thier account. The zips do show as valid. Any ideas?

Download Error
When my customers try to download their product they get this message:
Error: Can't find web site pub
The permissions are set on 644 and all the links are valid with the green dot.
Please help, i had assumed all was running well after doing a mini test run and opened the store

Is your "pub" folder set to 777 permissions?

You have placed the download files in the:
/download
directory and the filenames do not use special characters or spaces and are all nicely Zipped, correct?
windows or unix server?
Have they ever worked for you?
If you make a test product with a test download of 100k or so, does it work?
What size files are your downloads?
