Can I have a "call for shipping" module for just *some* products?

My shop is located in Newfoundland, Canada and is a poker supplies store. I am using the canada post shipping mod for everything except poker tables. Is there any way to get the cart to say email or phone for quote on shipping for the table only?

Are you still selling the table online? Or would it work to just set this up as a Call for Price?

Then, the customer has to call you to order and ship and cannot add the table to the cart ...

At the present time the built-in shipping modules don't offer per-product shipping-module selection.
You'd have to write custom code to evaluate the shopping cart contents to switch certain modules on or off depending on what's in the cart.

That's too bad, It's the only thing stopping me from going live, there are just too many places here to ship to and the rates are so varied i'd never be able to include them all. everything else is covered except the poker tables!! there has to be a way.

Call for Price is a handy feature for folks wanting to sell online but need to have the customer call to finalize things on a given product ...

If you put the Product together like any other product, you could have prices etc. but then mark it as Call for Price ...

You could then change the text and image for Call for Price to Call for Shipping arrangements and settle the order over the phone ...

i am selling them online, but the shipping charges vary so much depending on peoples location, I need them to call for shipping quote. thanks for your reply, but how do i set up the call for price feature, is it in admin??

Just edit the Product ... you will see the Call for Price YES or NO in there ...
