Help to install Stock by Attributes v4.6

Hi, iam a newbie and new to Zen Cart.
I've just downloaded Stock by Attributes v4.6 iam currently and have just had a clean install of Zen Cart v1.3.8a/v1.3.8

Iam really desperate to have the stock by attributes feature.

Ive tried reading the read me. i went to Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patches then i dont know what to do next. PLEASE HELP!!!

First of all, Welcome to Zen Cart.

Ok, what you need to do is copy all the code from the SQL file included in the mod, then paste that code into the large text field in the Install SQL Patches area, then click Send. (It's possible to upload the SQL file instead, but many people here have found it more reliable using copy and paste approach).

I have both tried copying the code from the SQL file and also uploading the SQL file.

it's is displaying:
1062 Duplicate entry 'STOCK_SHOW_LOW_IN_CART' for key 2
in:

If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

So iam guessing its uploaded. But after reading the Read me, i should be able
log into the admin area, click on Catalog->Products with Attributes Stock to modify inventory levels of your products by attributes.

But the Catalog menu looks the same.

No, I wouldn't worry too much about the SQL. I *think* this just means that the correct data is already in the database.

Yes, there should be a 'Products with Attributes Stock' option under Admin>Catalog.

Are you sure you uploaded the admin folder? Maybe you just uploaded the includes folder. Also, if your admin folder on your server is called something else, did you change the name of the admin folder in the mod prior to uploading, so it matches?

Additionally, if you haven't already, you may want to take a look at the mod's support thread to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

I told u i was a newb!!! I didnt upload the folders "admin and includes" D'oh!

It seems to be working fine now but couldnt figure where to put the file tpl_shopping_cart_default.php from the folder Include----} Templates -----} Your_templates------}Templates---} tpl_shopping_cart_default.php
So ive left that out, would that effect it?

So was wondering if a particular size sold out would that be automatically be removed from the drop down menu?

Another question is that iam from the U.K and i want to put prices on products in GBP£ ive changed the currency to GBP£. But when i put a price in, it persumes the price is in dollars and converts it into pounds. Is there a way round this?

And lastly, i had a look at your website, its a great looking site, did u build it all on Zen Cart?

Oh sorry one more thing does the Stock ID Variant Quantity have to be done each time for each product, just wondering if theres a quicker was if all products have the same variant quantity? I noticed a Sync Quantity do u know what this is for?

And is the same for adding ADDING NEW ATTRIBUTES?

Such as each product i need to click: Option Name (Size) then Option Value ( Size 3 )then click
Then Click on option name (Size ) then option value ( Size 4 ) click on insert
and repeat the process for each size, then do the same for each product?

Ok, all you need to do with tpl_shopping_cart_default.php is upload it to..
includes/templates/your_template/templates/

I'm hoping you already have a custom template set up. If so, the text in red should equal the name of your custom template.

If a particular size, colour, model etc goes out of stock, then this mod will disallow it to be ordered (providing you have it configured this way in admin). The customer finds this out but only after adding to their cart. The ability to add a particular type of product to the cart which is out of stock *won't* automatically be removed from the product page.

I'm not too sure about the currency problem. I'm also from UK but haven't had this problem myself. It may be that GB isn't set as your default currency? Check in Admin>Localization>Currencies to see. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to suggest about that issue.

Yes, all of my site is Zen Cart. I've added quite a few mods to it so it might look a bit different to a standard version. I've not changed the template much though. I guess I should do that sometime.

As you can see from my site, I only have about 12 products. As such, I've never had the need to try and find quicker ways of doing things. I would suggest asking these questions in the mod's support thread.
