How do I make a flyout menu for just top-level categories?

Hi

Could somebody help me with the flyout menu i would like to change the information that is displayed in the flyout header menu, instead of having all the links to contact us and information, shopping cart and my account i would just like the top level of categories to show.

For example the current order of links is as follows:

HOME | CATEGORIES | INFORMATION | CONTACT US | MY ACCOUNT | SHOPPING CART

What i would like it to say is:

CATEGORY1 | CATEGORY2 | CATEGORY3 | CATEGORY4 | CATEGORY5 | CATEGORY6 |

any help would be much appreciated.

I take it that nobody has any idea how to do this, if not could somebody suggest an alternative flyout menu that i can use for the category structure.

I think there may be some flyout menus in the download area for what you are after.

I am looking to do exactly this same thing. I prefer this dropdown menu over another one I tried though, so if anyone does know how to get it to call to the Top Level Categories that would be great!
