Default SSL activation generating blank catalog pages

    Hi there,
I have an SSL certificate for my site, and version 1.38 of Zen Cart. I have done what is necessary to allow the SSL to be used for the admin and catalog areas - setting the values to true and specifying the http and https server locations.

On doing this the admin section is secure, but the catalog is inaccessible - the pages are blank. There are no error messages of any kind - just a blank screen.

I have tried to deactivate everything - changing the config.php files back to the original form, but there is no difference - the site no longer works!! The admin area is fine, but the catalog remains inaccessible.

I did have the site working before the changes, but now there is nothing, despite everything being back to the way it was.

Can anyone help me to resolve this issue - firstly I would like to see my site again without having to reinstall, and would like to be able to have the SSL active for the checkout pages.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
    Chris

Ok, so I figured it out for myself - i failed to read the following:

/*************** NOTE: This file is similar, but DIFFERENT from the "store" version of configure.php. ***********/
/*************** The 2 files should be kept separate and not used to overwrite each other. ***********/

So I used the 'store_configure' file to figure out how the store file should be structured and what should be included, and DAHDAHHH!! it works! and the checkout pages are secure, as well as the entire admin area.

Thank you for taking to the time to explain what happened when you mixed up the config files.

Better luck with the rest of your venture.
